I feel like I’m on really whacked out acid trip looking at this tie-dyed rainbow crocheted jumper.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas …
Lost FAR out in left field the Mojave Desert.
STYLE
This Crochet Jumper/Coat is SENSATIONAL..you will not find anything else like it. Its a free form crochet ORIGINAL. Its made like a jumper in that it does not open in the front, you slip it on over your head.It has a beautiful frilled collar and falls asymetrically [sic].You can see by the pictures it really flares out around the hips.
Excellent. It’s magical. Truly magical.
COLOR
RAINBOW
…[Duh.]
FABRIC
Its made from a combination of yarns, pure wool, ribbons, eyelash, mohair, sparklies, sequins and handyed rainbow silk, thick lush velvet..its flamboyant, warm and very soft.
Um. Eyelash?
So I was thinking ‘eyelash’; like the one attached to your eye… but I googled that sh*t just in case it was a new fangled word for ‘yarn’ or ’string’ or ‘don’t-you-dare-go-looking-for-the-rest-of-the-body’, but it’s actually eyelash(es).
I think.
All I know is I’m pretty sure there’s a pit, a weird man, ‘The Goat‘ *link NSFW* and some lotion involved.
A new version of the All Knowing Eye?
Thanks Aromy!
* I can’t take credit for the title, she came up with that all her own.

while this is absolutely atrocious – never fear. eyelash yarn is a think, and it has nothing to do with eyelashes. it’s the same as fun fur – here’s an example (NAYY):

It’s sad when you are the last to leave Burning Man, knitting like Penelope, waiting for next year. So sad.

Eyelash is indeed a yarn/fibre.
Sadly, this woman should not be using it.

I would curl up in a corner and think I was having a bad trip if I saw someone wearing that.

This has given me an idea for halloween. I could be the craftastrophe fairy! Of course then I would actually have to look at something like this… Never mind.

I think I like it. I like color explosions. I especially like rainbow fuzzy color explosions. I never really got over being five. Sorry. I know you don’t want to share your world with me but I can’t help it. I’d gladly find a world for people like me if there was one but I’m stuck here too. I like color, lots of it, in blinding combinations. It makes my eyes go ziiiing and that makes me happy.

$610????!!!!! SIX HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS? Why not $599? Why not $650? Hell, why not charge a ten grand? I’d buy it for $50. No more. Well maybe $75 if the workhouse in china said it meant their slaves, er workers, would get breakfasts.. Rest easy fellow Canadians, this rainbow explosion will not be coming to a street near you.

When I first scrolled down and saw this on my google reader I said whoa. Because seriously? Whoa. Then me saying that reminded me of Joey on Blossom. Ha.

Yep, eyelash yarn exists. I have some in my yarn stash right now, as a matter of fact. It can be cute and fun when used on the right kind of project. This is not that project. As a proud knitter and all-around crafty geek, I am embarrassed for my kind when I see atrocities like this. Her friends and family need to have a Craft Intervention for her and take away all of her yarn and crochet hooks…as well as the ’shrooms she was apparently on when she created this thing.
