No Matter Which Way You Turn It…

…to me, it still doesn’t look like a cake or a piece of cake.  It looks like felt with crafty things piled on it.

cake magnet No Matter Which Way You Turn It...

This slayed me, however:

Getting the shape of this thing was the most difficult of the entire process. Next, came the icing. At first I wanted to do an all foam magnet, but I came up with something more interesting. I took some pipe cleaners (no, they’re not used lol*) and curled them, cut them, and glued them on for a fluffy icing look. And of course, what cake would be the same if it didn’t have a cherry on top? :D

Question: what were you drinking at the time?

Yes, you can stop making crafts now. Now.  NOW.

*Used for WHAT?

Thanks Cari!

*Pipe cleaners are used to clean pipes. But not those. How the hell is that a piece of cake?

So this is supposed to be a magnet right? Where exactly would you put it? I could not see putting this “masterpiece” on my fridge…it’s too…ummm, beautiful? I think the back of a dark, dark cabinet would be much more appropriate.

I think if I was completely stoned I might see a cake. But I might see the Cheshire Cat, too. So that’s not worth jack.

  11. Suzy Voices (8 comments.) Says:

I still do not see this. You people that can must be those special creative types. OH WAIT!!! I got it!!! It would be better if she had switched it and put the white frosting on the left side instead of the right.

This is the work of a 5 year old kid, right? Please tell me this was a pre-school craft project that the teacher helped with so the lines are straight? Please?
In all honestly, if not told what it was supposed to be, I would have thought it was a colorful bathtub scrubbie thingie, but not a cake-like thingie.

  13. Valerie Says:

I’m with Kathy on this one. I REALLY want to believe this is a young child’s school craft project. And that is certainly the only way this ridiculous thing would end up on my fridge. WTH is this woman thinking?

  14. dawn Says:

oh, it’s a SLICE of cake!! and after reading the text, i can certainly notice the cherry… (hint: it helps if you step away from the screen and kinda squint, sorta like looking at those 3D pictures)

  15. Karly (4 comments.) Says:

I can definitely see that it’s a cake, I’m just left wondering WHY? Why would someone do such a thing? And where do you put something like that? And the cherry? WTF?

I’m confused, she says the shape of it was the hardest to get, but… it’s a square? I don’t understand.
