This crafty pendant reminds me a lot of a childhood friend’s grandma. The one who’s apartment smelled like celery and mothballs. The one who would serve up cantaloupe in ramekins and giggle when we did even though she couldn’t hear what we were saying.
The one who had carpet exactly this colour. The one who wore bright blue flowery muumuus and always had to put her feet up due to poor circulation. The one who always said, “Stay together!” even when we were only going into her bedroom to watch The Facts of Life. The one who’s bedroom walls remained to be seen because she had Rubbermaid containers floor to ceiling that were full of wool and material to make double sided quilted place mats and reversible skirt & vest combos. I can’t make this sh*t up people – she made me a set in red paisley and my mother made me wear it to school for all of grade 5.
So her. And double tailed sperm. Because what’s Grandma’s rug without double tailed sperm? NOTHING.
