The scary thing is, I have a vintage (1970s) knitted dolls book with a doll and pattern for that exact dress. Terrifying stuff, I always thought the doll looked like an Egyptian mummy, or maybe someone swaddled that lady a little too long as a baby and is now forced to wear swaddling garb for the rest of her days. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
