The fuzzy texture is the result of the felting action of dog stomach contents on the fur. The yellow streaks are the stomach acid-bleached blades of grass the dog ate for relief from the indigestion that eating the opossum caused it. The "artist" felt that the grass gave the piece character. After viewing the artist's other "artwork" made of stained underwear straps, I feel that this "artist" needs to be institutionalized...very soon.
