My fave thing about Twitter — and it took me a long time to warm up to Twitter — is the immediacy. It’s as conversational as IM chat but you can find new people & new cool stuff (like Fail Whale necklaces) all the time.

I love Twitter too much. It is almost as good as having universal, targeted ESP, which is the superpower I would pick. Or it’s a big Ouiji board at the best slumber party ever. Reading minds when you want to and learning the secrets of the universe how much would that rock? I hope the next version of Twitter scales it to that level. When I see the Fail Whale I try to tell myself that the spirits who help me listen to people’s ideas are resting to gather their mystical strength.
I love Twitter. It tells me when a new @craftastrophe is up. Like this one.

Twitter helps me feel connected to my friends both locally and globally! I also enjoy learning and laughing with Tweeps that I haven’t met in real life. And perhaps most importantly, Twitter keeps me from doing other stuff, like laundry and cleaning gerbil cages.

I love the immediacy of twitter. When that plane landed in the river, pics were on twitter before CNN. I like being outraged over the news before anybody else. Also? I LOVE getting Craftastrophe updates on twitter ages before they pop up in my reader.

I love Twitter for the immediacy. Last night I had connected with half a dozen friends within SECONDS of the earthquake in southern California. A full hour before any of the 24 hour news channels had even mentioned it. I knew they were okay – and that made it okay for me to sleep.

I’m @erinairout. I like Twitter because it’s so fast-paced and like Facebook only concentrated. I can connect with my friends in seconds! And I love that I can see what my favorite bloggers and celebrities are doing/thinking…which is kind of creepy, now that I think of it :-/

I totally love everything about Twitter. (Well, except those annoying spambots with names like RobertH and AnyaM) I can interact with other people without the hassle of keeping up an IM conversation. (I’m terrible at IM because I get interrupted by work or World of Warcraft. Yes, I just admitted a WoW habit.) Plus, I have really awesome Twitter friends who are entertaining!

I love Twitter mostly because I can be pulling my typical, stressful, 8 hour shift at the frame shop where I work, get the familiar ding that lets me know I have a text message, look down at my phone, and see what my graphic design prof is watching on tv, what my friends in London are up to, or just what bands are playing this weekend. Its little things like that get me through my day, and help me keep my perspective.

Look. I’m a guy. I like guy things. Beer. Pornography. Shows on Discovery about blowing things up. And beer.
But I also enjoy most of what Bravo has to offer. From “Real Housewives of Whatever” to “Make Me a Supermodel,” and all of the “Top Somethings” in between. And don’t get me started on “American Idol.”
Sometimes, a guy just has to offer his two cents on the Betthany/Kelly catfight, or Adam Lambert’s creepy skin, but he can’t quite call his beer-drinking buddies to do it. Sometimes, he has to just quietly tell 950 people instantly, and be done with it.
This is why I Twitter. Well, one of the reasons, anyway. I also like to keep tabs on @sacca. That kid is EVERYWHERE. Like Johnny Freakin’ Quest, that guy.

I’m @jennydecki on Twitter and love it because when there’s too much b.s. marketing talk…I can just unfollow the people junkin’ up my stream.
I’ve found so many people that I love listening to that I would have never found otherwise. I don’t mind the Fail Whale as much as most people, because the more people use Twitter and the more popular it becomes, the more likely it will become a mainstay my kids can enjoy when they’re old enough to read and write
There’s a whole world out there and Twitter makes it easy to get snippets and links and videos and blog posts that remind me of that!
