Cindy the Camel has...one hump.
Cindy the Chicken doesn't know whether to say BAWK! or BARK! Are those chick or eggs on her back? Can't see for tears.....of laughter.
Why does Cindy as a Peacock remind me of a 1980's wedding? I can't put my finger on it...
If only Cindy the Dragon could breathe real fire. She would take your head off, lady.
NinjaPOODLE!
Thanks Anna!

*Technically there's no airbrush used in these grooming techniques, and the methods are quite safe according to the source site. The pictures just reminded me of some of the airbrushed Cake Wrecks that Jen posts!

I’m going to go out on a limb here and stick up for this art form. It is a highly competitive, highly regarded form of expression for groomers, who are basically artists at the core. It takes many months of patience to grow out the coat, many hours of sculpting and hand scissoring, and many more to prep, dye, fasten, dress and execute the theme. Most use Standard Poodles because you can grow the hair and sculpt it into nearly any pattern. Owning and grooming this breed of dog, I curtsy deeply to their skills. Having said that, many well-conceived plans can go wreckily wrong!

As a Tribal Belly dancer I have to say the camel was my favorite…I got to the last pic and my four year old said “look Mom! a ninja turtle dog!! yay!!”

And yet some poor woman in the communist state of Boulder, CO was charged with animal cruelty for dying her poodle purple…with natural/organic plant-based dye.
Taking that into account…something just doesn’t compute here.

I seriously hope these people get paid for this… it seems like a lot of frivolous work… I always feel like I’m abusing my pets if I put a sweater on them for 30 seconds to take a picture…

Haha, I’d completely forgotten it was April Fool’s.
And yes, I realized a lot of work must have gone into this.
Still, didn’t she ever stop to think “Why am I doing this to my dog?” Years ago I knew a poodle whose owners let her fur curl up naturally – she was such a happy dog. Cindy doesn’t really look that happy to me. =(
And now that I’m looking at these pictures again, it seems to me, that her owner or groomer … well, the woman in most of the photos, doesn’t look happy either … not even when she supposedly won some award, which I would have thought to be her motivation to do this thing … oh well.

I hope the dog left scars.
Although, owing a poodle-mix, I did think of painting her orange so she could be a “Cheese-Doodle” for halloween.
Hmmm…

The peacock one really got to me. Almost thought it was missing a section in the back and still does even after staring at it for a while.
Also hey, you can’t forget about Michael Angelo. The turtle that made everything groovy.
