Inspired by Tim Burton and My Dead Dog

From the listing:

dead dolly 3 Inspired by Tim Burton and My Dead Dog

About a month ago, I was really burned out on my usual artistic fodder and challenged myself to a) make something totally outside my usual stuff and b) use only the materials I had on hand. The result is this art doll that I call FOLLICULA.

From Dork Yearbook (great new blog you should totally subscribe to):

04250021

Molly K: “When I was eight I dressed up as my favorite book, Bunnicula by James Howe. It was a book about a vampire rabbit, so for good measure, I also dressed as a rabbit. Please note the awesome velcro sneakers.”

Uh…yeah.  I’m really too tipsy to think of anything other than WHY WOULD YOU MAKE A CRAFT OUT OF YOUR DEAD DOG?

Also, how funny is it to think about Bunnicula again?  Totally hilarious.  Go see Dork Yearbook.  LOVE THAT SITE.

Thanks Diamond Seeds!

Love the pic from molly K… so did you and that sailor in the back ground have something going? I can’t decide if that look is lusty or stalky.

If I had to make something out of the things I have on hand, it would look nothing like this. Except for the creepy skull. Because I have a lot of those lying around.

I can’t place my finger on why, but I’m somewhat reminded of the titanic and that one scene on the ship where she’s right on the bow of the ship. Can almost see her saying “Don’t let go Jack”.
