Hallowig

hallowigbeauty Hallowig

I kind of like this.  Not enough to wear it outside of a Halloween party, but you know…it’s kinda cute.

Course, I could always parade around the neighbourhood with my Walking Beer Fridge Scarf…if I was tipsy enough, I could get away with it.  Also, passing out in a snowbank would be okay – scarf, hat…I’m set!

It kinda reminds me of the little girl from Lazy Town:

Thanks Autumn!

I actually knit this when it first was featured on Knitty. Never wore it, though.

The version with Lil Jon joining in is much more entertaining:

I saw this first on Threadbanger.com
I personally think it’s cute, in the very cute kind of way. And I, too, thought of Lazy Town when I saw it. :D

Aero Kitty’s last blog post..yellowscone: Okay I’m cold. Seriously, the Texas gulf coast is not supposed to be cold in February. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY STATE?!

I’m intrigued! The Hallowig is dorky, but also kind of spunky, and I hate having cold ears.

P.S. I had just managed to get this song out of my head after it was posted on CakeWrecks. Now it’s back. Sigh. (Why can’t I resist clicking the Play button? WHY?)

    @Erin K.,
I too, finally got this song out of my head a la Cakewecks. Why do all my favorite blogs keep throwing Lazy Town at me?!

I also think the Hallowig is cute, but it could be more the mod stylings of the photograph itself that I like, rather than the wig/hat alone.

It reminds me of the girl off of Lazy Town too! Great minds think alike right?

What happened to Lazytown? It’s not on here anymore (Thank God) Did the girl grow up? It was already pedophile creepy enough as it was, that Sporticus dude.

I made a version of this hatwig in olive green to match my winter coat. I made the back and sides a little longer, to keep my neck warm. I wear it every day to the office, and it’s gotten some compliments and interested inquiries from passers-by.

I just whipped one up out of some dog hair, dryere lint and gold glitter. I am selling it for $5,000 on Ebay. Some whack job on crack will be all “I gots to have that!”

But seriously we kind of think these are cute in the pink….they would keep our heads warm here in the office, and no one would have to worry about Hat Hair anymore.
