Listen to the Wind Rattle Through Your Bottles

Instead of being a Crazy Cat lady when I grow up, I could very well see myself as the Crazy Windchime Lady. I love windchimes. Nothing is more soothing than lying in bed listening to the chimes as they’re rustled by the breeze. I could (and would) hang them from just about anywhere if my husband would allow it.

Even these ones.

Recycle, Recycle, Recycle

Here’s a novel idea for recycling some of those beer bottles and save some landfill space. The labels are removed and saved. The bottles are washed and dried, then placed in a glass kiln with wire hooks inside their mouths for hanging. Once the bottles are flattened, they are again cleaned of the residue from the kiln, the labels are reglued to the bottles and they are strung with 10 lb test thru a dowel, and tied off with beads. A leather strand is strung from one end of the dowel to the other as a hanger.

I am not affiliated with this company, nor do I advocate drinking. I am mearly recycling used bottles into an ornate useable object.

Thank you for looking.

God Bless our Troops!

Might just be me, but I couldn’t help but laugh at the final sentiment. Not that there’s anything truly funny about blessing the troops, but in my head it was like one of those drunken morons that jump in front of a live televised session yelling “Go LEAFS!” or something.

Hang those puppies outside my front door and I’ll be the envy of the entire neighbourhood!

Viva la Redneck!

Is it sad that the whole time I was looking at the photo I was thinking, “I wonder how they melted the bottles without damaging the labels?” As if logic can be applied to something like this.

And while I was looking at the picture I thought it was the plastic bottles that they just smashed flat. LOL

    “Ornate useable objects”? Really? Ornate?

I wonder, does the clinking of sound these “chimes” make a person need to pee?
