Nothing Says I Love You Like Dead Tree Rat

Remember when Pete Doherty gave Kate Moss a dead rat brooch and the world was all shock and awe, wondering what the sam-hell was goin’ through his big ol’ numb skull?

Behold, the redneck version of The Crazy Love:

il 430xn40338140 Nothing Says I Love You Like Dead Tree Rat

This is a pair of genuine taxidermy squirrel feet earrings. They hang from ornate Victorian inspired posts and measure 1 1/2″ long without post. They have been professionally preserved.

Oh good, because I was really worried about those nails being perfect.  Poor Jes, she won’t like this post.

Gee honey, you’ll never guess what I gotcha for Christmas!

*shudder*

HA When I was in middle school I went to my aunts house and her boyfriend had a bunch of squirrel feet he was making into necklace pendants. Of course being the super classy middle schooler I was I wanted the one he shaped to look like it was giving the bird… God I was cool.

Looking back though it was pretty damn unsanitary to have a rotting squirrels foot dangling from my neck.

Being that it was a professional taxidermist I can only guess that it was done from an animal whos meat was eaten… I hope.

Not my style, it would bug me to feel toenails on my neck …. but it would be a great gag gift.. yea it’s a shocker, but hey….. the site is catastrophe, because handmade isn’t always pretty…. what did u expect? something cutsey?? lol
